DISCOVERY OF TRADITIONAL HURON CUISINE

This package provides for the discovery of American Indian meal at our restaurant "Nek8arre".

Guided tour of the site:

• Annonchia: visit of the maison longue ;
• Explanation of the Huron way of life prior to the European arrival;
• Comment on the traditional way of life;
• Explanation of the size of the Long House, the number of people living in it, the construction materials used etc.

Inside Activities:

• Introduction to animal skins;
• History of the Huron-Wendat, reading of a map and telling of the legend of the creation of the World;
• Meaning of the masks, of the "False-Faces" and legend.

American Indian game meat lunch.
